As a business owner, it is your responsibility to know how to scale a business, and the only way you can effectively do that is to track everything!
That includes the images, headlines, calls to action (CTAs), and the button text you use on your landing and sales pages. Your content must resonate with your ideal audience to cause them to take action.
The best way to know how well your pages convert is to perform a split-test.
- Landing page tools. There are a variety of landing page tools you can use specifically for this purpose. Select the best one that automates your split-test process.
When you understand the conversion rates on your pages, you can make improvements, test, tweak, make sales, and scale a business.
Using your split-test results will let you know the keywords with the highest engagement and/or conversions. Provide them to your copywriter to use in your content. These words are steroids for your content, so sprinkle them throughout your articles, landing pages, and sales pages.
- Email open rates. Another area of your business you should split-test is your email open rates. Split-test subject lines until you find one that converts well.

Tracking provides you with a gold mine of information. It reports site visitors and exactly where they came from.
For instance, did they click a link in a blog post, or was it a referral from someone? All of this information is valuable.
Compare your pages visited, the conversion rates, click-throughs, etc., and use the information to increase your sales and profit.
